My work consists of composing and producing music, as well as creating sound design. Manipulating sound to evoke emotions. My goal is to develop and enhance narratives through the sonic dimension of each project.

I participate in various fields such as film, advertising, design, or theatre, among others. This variety is what stimulates me and drives me to embrace different perspectives and perceptual possibilities.

Depending on the project, I create music or sound design, but the dividing line is often blurry and becomes a broader concept that I term sonic creation.

Músic

Original and bespoke composition. Firstly, I analyse possible references, establish stylistic foundations,

and decide on the instrumentation. Secondly, I create demos until the suitable piece is found. Then, if

necessary, acoustic instruments or synthesizers are recorded. Finally, I refine everything for the final mix.

In this case, the focus is on the musical piece. However, if there are any other sonic elements, I always

take them into account to create a coherent sonic piece.

Sound design

This involves creating and organising sound effects and atmospheres without musical composition.

The process begins with the search for a concept, the definition of a specific aesthetic, space, time period,

or emotion. I then craft sounds from synthesizers, gather and modify other sounds from libraries, or record

foley. Finally, I edit and mix the collected material to create the final piece.

sonic creation

Creation of a sound product containing a musical score and extramusical sounds. Sometimes, the musical

piece can be clearly distinguished from the sound effects; in other cases, this boundary is much more blurred.

Either way, the final piece tends towards the same direction for conceptual and aesthetic coherence.

BIO

Mallorcan musician based in Barcelona. Trained as a modern guitarist and composer of music for audiovisual media and stage. Currently working on music creation and sound design in various fields including film, advertising, design and theatre. Notable among my projects is the music for the short film ERYON, recorded by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and winner of the award for Best Original Music at the 2022 Filmets Badalona Film Festival.

I also compose and produce music for myself and other artists under the pseudonym PJ Company. Working from my studio in Barcelona, I collaborate with a network of musicians, performers and sound engineers to take on diverse projects, large and small.
